Congratulations to Dr. Carol Minnerop from New York, NY on her purchase of Pacino. Pacino will stay in training with Diane Ritz at Hidden Spring Farm in Monroe, NC.
Here is a special find - a confirmed Grand Prix horse that is suitable for a young rider. Brentina Cup competitor, amateur or upcoming professional rider.
Pacino has a built-in "volume dial" which makes him suitable for greener riders as well as for the experienced rider. When asked for more expression and quality he readily complies. He has an extensive show record including:
- 2013 - Grand Prix median score of 67.553% (first year showing Grand Prix)
1st for USDF All-Breeds (ISR/Old) & 27th in the nation
- 2012 - USDF Region I Champion Intermediaire II
- 2010 - Dressage at Devon - 1st Place Fourth Level Tests 1 & 3
- 2006 - 6th at USEF/Markel Young Horse National Championships
Pacino's strengths include his willingness to please, forwardness, and sensible sensitivity. The piaffe/passage work is very confirmed without a whip.
Bred at Hilltop Farm, Pacino has been under the training of Chris Hickey since 2007 although he has been ridden more by his amateur owner in the past two years. Pacino's had no interruptions to training and competing due to any health concerns. He is safe, sane, sound and a ton of fun to ride. He is exactly the same horse at horse shows as he is schooling at home.
Pacino's sire Parabol was one of the founding stallions of Hilltop Farm. He was the USDF Horse of the Year at Third Level, competed in the 1995 Pan-Am Selection Trials and was shown through Grand Prix. Corthena, Pacino's dam, has been an exceptional producer of dressage horses. In addition to Pacino, she has also produced Contento who was exported to Germany and Ribot who is competing successfully at PSG/Intermediaire with Tony Dvorak.
Pacino's wonderful attitude and trainability make him a joy to work with every day and he will always give 110% of himself in the work. He is located in Wellington through March.
Inquiries should call Chris Hickey at 561-313-1841.
